The Theatre major earns a B.A. degree. A minor in Theatre is also available to students.

Program and Course Information


Theatre majors, theatre minors, and students who participate extra-curricularly take an active role in the Lenoir-Rhyne Playmakers' production season.  Students are vital contributors in all aspects of production - performance, technology, design, direction, and management.

Students also explore theatre though course work; involvement with community, educational, and professional theater events; the North Carolina Theatre Conference; and the Southeastern Theatre Conference.


Belk Centrum

Venue that houses two of our four mainstage productions.
The Belk Centrum stage is a modified thrust utilized for
performances demanding an intimate space.

P.E. Monroe Auditorium

Venue that houses larger productions and musicals.
This 1450 seat proscenium also hosts a variety of
professional and traveling performances and shows
